Student Parking Information
NORTH GWINNETT HIGH SCHOOL PARKING GUIDELINES
1. Decals should be visible and placed inside the vehicle on the lower left, driver's side windshield. If not, office 919 should be notified before school begins (7:10am).
2. Decals are not transferable to another student.
3. If lost or stolen, decals may be replaced for $15. See Ms. Johnson in room 919.
4. Reasons for having parking revoked or suspended include but are not limited to:
a. Excessive tardies and/or absences
b. Excessive discipline referrals
c. Not following traffic rules in parking lot
5. Refunds are not provided for revoked or suspended parking privileges
6. Do Not Park in: Visitor Spots, Reserved Spaces, Staff Parking Spaces or Fire Zones.
7. Do Not Park in the circle in front of the field house at any time.
8. In the Senior Lot, rows 2-10 must be cleared by 2:30pm during the fall for Band practice.
9. Students must use crosswalks when coming on and off campus from parking lots.
10. Failure to follow Parking Guidelines can result in but is not limited to:
a. Ticketing
b. Disciplinary Action
c. Suspension/Revocation of Parking
d. Towing of Vehicle
11. The following information is from the Gwinnett County Board of Education Policy JCAB:
a. Students are permitted to park on school premises as a matter of privilege, not of right. School authorities may search student automobiles and may seize any illegal, unauthorized, or contraband materials discovered in the search.
b. A student’s failure to permit searches and seizures, as provided in Policy JCAB, will be considered grounds for disciplinary actions.
c. In the event the search of a student’s vehicle reveals a violation of federal, state or local law, law enforcement authorities may be notified so that they may take appropriate action.
