NGHS Cell Phones/Electronics Policy

Personal Electronic Devices Policy

To maintain a focused and respectful learning environment, all personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, earbuds, etc.) must remain out of sight and turned off, from bell to bell.

If a student's personal electronic device is visible during class, the teacher has the right to confiscate the device. The personal electronic device will be given to an administrator’s office to be processed. The student will receive a referral. The personal electronic device will be available for the student to pickup at the end of the next school day.

Important: If a student is found in possession of or using a personal electronic device during an assessment, the device will be subject to a limited scope search, and the student will lose the privilege of having their personal electronic device on campus for a designated period, as determined by school administration.

Any personal electronic device seen or used during class time outside of assessments will be subject to the consequences outlined above and school guidelines.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping create a distraction-free classroom where every student can engage fully in learning.
